About Me

Where I Started and Where I Am Going
I was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Scottsdale, AZ. My family is from the Philippines, and they instilled the values of hard work, cultural appreciation, and sacrifice in me from an early age.

When I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be someone who helped others, learned throughout their entire life, and employed creativity while facing challenges when I grew up. As soon as my dad introduced me to my first Excel spreadsheet, I felt a spark of interest that other fields had not ignited in me. As I progress through my business courses, I see more and more how my childhood aspirations are fulfilled by accounting!

I aim to graduate with a BSBA in 2023 from the Eller College of Management, then complete the Accounting Master's program in 2024 so I can become CPA certified. I am most interested in the audit track, but am eager to learn in all areas. I hope to one day support and uplift women of color and other underrepresented communities in the business world via mentorship programs and community outreach.
Current Involvements
Alpha Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. is a sorority dedicated to Asian Awareness, service, academic excellence, and of course, sisterhood. In my roles as Treasurer, Academic, Fundraising, and Sisterhood Chair, I have learned how to effectively balance personal and professional relationships, work in supporting teams and the executive board, and collaborate with Sisters nationwide.

The Filipino American Student Association (FASA) is a cultural club that educates on Philippine language and culture and fosters Pamilya (family in Tagalog) among its members. It has given me the opportunity to explore the Filipino side of my Filipino American identity and meet others who grew up in the culture outside the homeland.

The United Sorority and Fraternity Council (USFC) is the governing body that oversees 18 identity and culture-based Greek organizations at the University of Arizona. As Vice President of Membership Intake & Public Relations, I get to oversee membership intake policy, act as liaison between member Chapters and the University, manage our social media, and work with the Vice President of Leadership and Risk Reduction Management to make campus a safer place for everyone.

The Filipino-American Sampaguita Club of Tucson (FASCOT) is an organization that showcases Philippine tradition to the Tucson community. I had the opportunity to perform the Ifugao and Tinikling traditional Philippine folk dances.
